Spring is officially here, which means it’s goodbye to the cold weather and time to welcome in warm weather and fun outdoor activities. As they do every year, Murfreesboro has plans to welcome in the spring season in spectacular fashion, offering exciting outdoor events for the entire family.

Whether you are looking for the perfect event to take your spouse or you want a fun concert to listen to with a group of your friends, you do not have to look any further than Murfreesboro for a fun day or night out. The following are four events you are not going to want to miss in Murfreesboro in April 2019.

Spring Kickoff at Fountains at Gateway - (April 5th - April 6th)

There is no better way to welcome in the spring than to take part in this year’s Spring Kickoff held at the Fountains at Gateway. It is a family-friendly affair, and the event offers live music, delicious food and even a petting zoo that kids - and adults - are sure to enjoy.

The Spring Kickoff is a two-day event taking place on Friday, April 5th and Saturday, April 6th. The Kickoff starts at 5:00 p.m. Friday evening, and concludes with the showing of the Greatest Showman on the lawn Saturday night at 7:30 p.m. Best of all - admission is completely free!

Boro Adventure Fest (April 13th)

The outdoor fun continues the second weekend of April during the Boro Adventure Fest, which features live music, food trucks, a kid’s zone and of course rock climbing. The Boro Adventure Fest is the perfect event to attend for anyone who loves outdoor activities and enjoy being active.

Feel free to come solo, bring a friend or make it an entire family event. The event is very kid-friendly, and if you have children they are sure to have a good time. The admission cost is $10 if you pre-register and $20 on the day of the event.

Citywide Easter Egg Hunt (April 20th)

The third weekend of April is Easter weekend, which means it is time to get the kids outside for an exciting Easter egg hunt. The Citywide Easter Egg Hunt offers a large area for children to search through, and the eggs can be exchanged for gifts at the EGG-change booth.

There are different hunts based on age so every child has a great chance at finding Easter eggs. The admission for the event is completely free and will be held at the Richard Siegel Community Park in Murfreesboro.

2019 Murfreesboro Great Strides Walk (April 27th)

Be sure to close the month of April out on a high note by taking part in the 2019 Murfreesboro Great Strides Walk, which is dedicated to raising awareness and helping to support the fight against Cystic Fibrosis - a genetic disease that can make it difficult to breathe and shorten life expectancy.

The admission for the walk is completely free, and you are welcome to come and show your support. However, donations and fundraising are highly appreciated as the proceeds go directly to supporting the search for a cure.
